OKR 1: Class excellence – 2024

Objective: Attain a GPA of no less than 3.8

Key result 1: Finish all assignments with >24 hours before official time due

Key result 2: Review, date all projects due for the rest of the semester

Key result 3: Catch up on all readings in each class, one per week

Key result 4: Attend office hours of professors 1 week before exams

OKR 1 – Outcome Summary: The purpose of this OKR is to reestablish the bare minimum needed for my curriculum. Once I am aware of what is due when, it will alleviate anxiety and stress of worrying about what is to come. It will also improve my time management by allowing me to properly allocate time for assignments multiple days in advance rather than the night before. This fulfills my values of faith and humility. Faith is fulfilled by self-regulating time for work and, thus, reliably establishing times for service. Humility is fulfilled by recognizing that good work comes from allotted discipline and focus and giving the mind and body an ideal environment so that good work can be produced.

OKR 2: Career Planning – 2024

Objective: Determine career path through Summer 2026

Key result 1: Talk to >=1 employee at Brightline, Amtrak, CTA, MTA, MBTA, SEPTA, and WMATA

Key result 2: Apply to >=1 position at Brightline, Amtrak, CTA, MTA, MBTA, SEPTA, and WMATA

Key result 3: Finish first draft of business plan for New Troy Tea & Bakery

Key result 4: Secure funds for New Troy Tea & Bakery

OKR 2 – Outcome Summary: This OKR is to establish a heuristic to discern my career path for the near future. By setting concrete steps for outreach and job searching, different attractive qualities will stand out for each workplace and position until one option will be set apart from the pact. This fulfills my values of faith and beauty. Faith is fulfilled by determining the best path forward for utilizing my talents for the greater glory of God and the welfare of my soul. Beauty is accomplished by determining an activity that is attractive and favorable to all aspects of my life, giving a life of prosperity and worth.

OKR 3: Camino de Santiago – 2024

Due Q2 2024

Objective: Trek the Camino de Santiago in Summer 2024

Key result 1: Finalize OKR 2 in order to leave domestic affairs in a condition that they can be left idle for 2 months i.e. find new rental property, line up job upon return

Key result 2: Complete two-day trek of 40 km total once per month

Key result 3: Go abroad once per semester to unfamiliar land

Key result 4: Attend daily mass in year leading up to trek

OKR 3 – Outcome Summary: This personal OKR aims to prepare me physically, mentally, and spiritually for the future to come. In training for each of these aspects, I aim to prepare myself for future trials and areas of uncertainty. Acknowledging that obstacles are inevitable, if I have the right headspace when I encounter these obstacles, it should assist me in overcoming them. This will also prepare me to take on more obstacles over time. This OKR encompasses all three of my core values. This includes faith by taking me on a spiritual journey of self-discovery in the hopes that I may realize a level of understanding that will help to define my principles, desires, and purpose in life. Humility is practiced by requiring discipline and commitment for months leading up to the trip in order to complete it. Beauty is realized by witnessing all the intricate facets that make up creation during the trek and in the lead up to the trek.
